Osiris Reborn is a cover-based action RPG closer to Mass Effect than a space sim, set just after the fall of Eros in The Expanse timeline, featuring a new mercenary crew working for Pinkwater rather than Holden and crew.

Faction choice (Earther, Belter, or eventually Martian) affects character appearance and starting stats but does not lock you out of other skill trees, and the current binary male/female default tied to faction is a placeholder.

Story decisions genuinely matter: a single conversation with station warden Okonnell early on can result in either the entire station being destroyed and him executed, or everyone surviving — a meaningful branching consequence.

Two specialization paths are available — Officer (combat and twin-command bonuses) and Hacker (wall-scanning, enemy disruption, drone swarms, terminal minigames) — with the hacker path feeling notably more distinct and fun.

Beta access requires purchasing the Miller Pack ($80) or Collector Edition ($290); the full game is planned for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC (Steam, Epic, GOG) with release targeted for sometime in 2027.
